1. Unrar.
2. Burn or mount the image.
3. Install the game, when asked for a serial enter one of the following:

I am unsure of these directions.

I get the torrent.
I unzip/unrar with my winrar (to my desktop?)
Then I click on exe file? Do I have to replace anything?
Then just play as normal? with nothing else to do with this?

Skye, you must unrar the file and mount the image, I use Deamon Tools (sp?) you will probably have to set it to “immulate” the Securom, then install. Before you can play you will have to copy the contents of the “crack” folder to replace the original .exe file that comes with the expansion (not the base game), then play. Hope this helps :)

Audrey, you have to use a mounting program like Daemon tools to mount the ISO and it will run the AutoRun and installer from there. After it’s installed, go to my computer, and find the Apartment Life “disc” right click, explore, then go the the Crack folder, copy Sims2EP8 to the TSBin folder in Sims 2 Apartment Life

Well Audrey since you have the game installed, your best bet is to go here:

and just use that file instead. Gamecopyworld is the site I go to for cracks.

i unpacked the file, mounted it with daemon,installed game, and copied crack to tsbin folder. i go to play the game and it starts up, goes thru the intro movie thing, but it stops responding on the apartment life load page. the music keeps playing but nothing will load. what do i need to do now?

I had the same problem before i switch to a newer computer.
type in “dxdiag” (without the “)in ‘Run’ and compare.

i fixed my prob. i loaded it and just let it go for about an hour, when i came back it was running fine. when i load up it takes the normal amount of time now. dont know why it takes so long to load the first time but oh well, running smooth now!

i managed to get the game installed, but when i went to play it, it was stuck on the loading screen, and the sound wouldn’t work. now i can’t get my computer to play any sounds at all, no cds, no mp3s, no default sounds, nothing. i’ve checked all my devices, tried speakers and ear plugs, and nothing is working. i uninstalled apartment life to see if that was causing the problem, and rebooted the computer, but still nothing… any suggestions?

Yeah everything is 100%, all the files and everything. I tried to open one of the files in utorrent, and I tried to extract it and it gets to 4% then a message pops up saying that I need another volume to continue extraction. Does this mean I need to burn the files on a CD/DVD?

i had the same problem as you guys,
but i took tim’s advice and downloaded this.

then u take this .exe and just replace the original in your tsbin folder.

Hi, I’ve finished installing Apartment Life,
and I’ve downloaded the latest version of Direct X..
But I still get that error message.

This is the first I’ve heard of the Sims being too
’sophisticated’ for my Vaio.

I don’t know much about these ‘graphic processors’
but I found out through the web that
my CR13L has a ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 processor.

Is that too sluggish to run Apartment Life?
Is that why I can’t run my beloved new expansion?
Please say it isn’t so.. I so need this to work T-T

Hey Folks.

For all you people getting the error :

Failed to enumerate any DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapters in this system!
Please make sure you have a DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest manufacturer provided driver.

At startup, Then heres a solutions:

Firstly make sure you are up to date with directx 9.
* Version, Directx 9.0c + Local updates.*

Then heres the clever bit:

Copy The crack into the local EAGAMES folder.
C:\program files\EA GAMES\apartment life\ (or whatever)

And over write the Game exe. Then going tsbin and over write ( With the same cracked EXE) the Game exe in there.

MAKE SURE TO BACK UP ALL THE ORIGINAL EXE’s

This cleared my issues, seems Maxis and EAGAMES are trying to cut down piracy. Wonder Why?

I’ve installed without errors and now when I try to start it it says I must insert the right disk.
I know I have to replace the exe file in the TSbin but I can’t seem to find the file I need to replace it with.

I downloaded apartment life and i’ve burned it onto a disk and i’ve installed it, the only problem is i cannot get it to play. When i go through “launcher” it tells me to install the disk and if i put it the disk (the one i burned then used to install) … it won’t read it.

rar the crack
copy it into TSBIN and just drag it from the rar

my question is how do i use the update from the ea website?

when i install the update it asks me for the cd i installed the crack again,
but the updates don’t appear

i have the sims 2 and want this expansion pack!!! i have just downloaded utorrent, however i have never done this befor. do i just simply click dowload and it will work ???? whats this about deamon tools and also do tou have a step by step gide. thanxxx

there are 21 .rar files..what .rar file am i goint to extract the .iso file?it seems confusing because the only instruction written is to unrar the file..then what rar file?please clear it up..tnx..:D

I just bought sims 2 installer..DVD.
i SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED everything but when I hit the SIMS2 icon to play, it says:

“Pls insert SIMS2 DVD in the drive and click OK”

I don’t understand this.

Pls help me guys..

When trying to copy the crack over the file in the tsbin it ask to insert the correct cd. can someone please tell me what i’m doing wrong.

i dl the winrar files, extracted, and installed the game
and it looks fine
cept i cant launch it.
i had this problem beofre with previous expansions
but i got help from this guy
but i no longer have contact with him anymore and so
idk how to apply the crack or fix this ‘laucnh the game’ problem
if someone can help me, i would glady appreciate it

Solved my problem, just put the crack exe in tsbin folder, nice try ea games, placing a distraction exe XD
